Woman Wrote Bad Review Because Of a Resident Bodega Cat, And Broken The Golden Bodega Rule

Written by vlatkopets

You can simply walk in any corner shop or so-called bodega in New York City and you will surely find different household goods , deli, beers and apparently a resident cat. They are not just cute and friendly , but they also keep rodents, mice and rats away. And they don`t wont so much in return.

All they need is warm place to stay and nap. They don`t make any damages or problems. They are always playful and friendly with all customers.

Well, in fact a resident cat in NYC bodega is against the laws and rules, but simply everyone loves bodega cats. You can get fines from 300 to 2000 dollars. But, you also will get fines if you have rats.

“It’s hard for bodega owners because they’re not supposed to have a cat, but they’re also not supposed to have rats,” José Fernández, the president of the Bodega Association of the United States, told the New York Times.

Generally New Yourkers ignore  that this bodega cats violate health code, and they would prefer to see cats than rats.

However recently, one Yelper  made something unusual and against golden bodega rule, and wrote S.K. Deli Market in the East Village a 1 star review after spotting her bodega had a cat relaxing on a stack of pack of beers. Enormous mistake.

Reviewer Diana D, who immediately deleted her post after she was destroyed on the internet , said she had pre ordered from the bodega, but decided to pick up her groceries instead of getting it delivered. That’s when she spotted the wonderful cat protecting its store.

“Besides being allergic, I wonder what the health code say(s) about this?” Diana wrote in her review.

Twitter user SynKami took a screen shot of the review and shared it to his followers.

Twitter immediately  exploded, and the tweet has got more than 7,800 retweets at the time of writing.

S.K. Deli Market’s Yelp page got large number of positive reviews on Wednesday, supporting both the cat and deli, whose name is Ciao Bella, according to one Yelper. Yep, we agree that , that is the perfect name for this amazing and wonderful resident bodega cat.
