The kitties were found abandoned by Solano County Friends of Animals, a local group that rescues animals in the region. They gave them names Will and Grace.

The kitties were brought to a Pet Food Express store in Benicia on Oct. 13 by a kind lady who said the kitties were planned to be used at bait. The kitties little paws were strongly bound to stop them from scratching the dogs eyes.

The lady seemingly brought the poor kitties to a vet, but didn’t have enough money for medical care. After that she took the kittens to Pet Food Express and the manager took care of them. He is a volunteer with Solano County Friends of Animals.

The woman told how she found the kitties, and then left the store.

They got immediate medical care at a Vallejo vet clinic and were in good condition after their rescue, but both kittens have injuries from the rubber bands. Unfortunately , Grace had to be  euthanized after gangrene that had begun in her feet and spread up to her entire body.
