A shelter cat climbed onto a young man’s shoulders and started rubbing and giving him cuddles and kisses.
“In that point I knew I had to get him. Meet Slade The Cat.”
“I worked at Petsmart for a while just doing stocking in the morning and almost every time I got a pause I would go and play with the cute adoption cats,” Shawn told Love Meow.
“One day I noticed him relaxing there and he just began coming up to the glass and rubbing against the glass and playing with me through it and just generally being a nice cat.”
So he decided to go in and hang out with the feline for a bit. ” I took him in my arms up and he immediately climbed up onto my shoulders and stay there for some time. Then he moved himself around and began suckling on my earlobe while kneading my shoulder,” he said.
In that moment I realized that he fell in love and I knew there was one thing he had to do. “So after my shift I adopted him almost instantly.”
Now at his permanent sweet home, “he still loves to climb on my shoulders and does the earlobe thing and I’ve had him about a year now!” Shawn told Love Meow.
He loves spending time on his human’s shoulders. It’s his favorite place!
