Although other cat owners have built more complex devices to entertain their cats — like the cat elevator or One Fast Cat wheel— it seems like all a cat just needs is a box. Small. Big. They love them all!
According to one study, cats are instinctively connected to confined spaces like boxes because they provide both a place to stalk or to hide their prey. For house kitties, the boxes provide a cozy, tight place to play and sleep.
