Cat lovers want to believe that a mom`s love for her kids is never-ending. While that is true commonly, it is not the case in every situation.
Unfortunately , many feral cats lose their moms along the way, either to the elements or human obstructions, but sometimes, the cat mom just leaves. As stray cats are going un-fixed, females can become pregnant with no intention of caring for their kittens, as the mother herself might still be very young. It is very depressed, and this is the main reason why so many organizations trap and release stray cats. They get them fixed to avoid these kinds of cases.
Ripley was left alone by her mom one day after she was born. Her human mom posted her complete adventure on Imgur and how Ripley was found in a litter, but quickly became the lone survivor of her group.
Ripley was not the first of her litter to be found.
When the Imgur user Arthisbeapirate heard strange noises coming from outside her home, she immediately went out with a neighbor to find three tiny kitties in a bush. After detail examinations that they found a fourth kitty off to the side.
Ripley’s siblings were all tangled together in their umbilical cord. The four tiny kitties were brought to a vet, where the doctor removed the umbilical cord.
Unfortunately, one of Ripley’s siblings did not survive the medical procedure.
All of the little kitties were severely dehydrated and severely starving . It was supposed their mom left shortly after their birth.
More sadness came as Ripley’s remaining two siblings died a few days after being rescued.
Ripley was the only survivor, for a while, did not look hopeful.
But, she was great fighter and finally was completely healed.
And so, she gave her the name Ripley, after “the ultimate survivor — Eleanor Ripley.”
Ripley’s mom tried her best to reunite her with her birth mother, as she spotted the cat around the area.
The attempts were all unsuccessful and eventually, the mama cat stopped coming around.
Ripley is now 1-year-old and is in perfect health!
