It was a very scary and terrible day for Thomas Jefferson – the cat.
The orange cute kitty, who has the same name with the American founding father, is finally back on safe after he got stuck inside of an underground drain pipe and authorities think the poor cat was about 7 hours, fire officials said.

DRAINPIPEKITTY is free!!!
“He looked sad and all wet but he is not injured,” Brian Haas, a Public Information Officer for Nashville’s Fire Department, told The Huffington Post.
Haas said a neighbor first noticed some strange cat crying about 6 a.m., but “didn’t pay much attention to that.” Well after the neighbor heard the tabby`s meowing again, he instantly called for help.

He climbed into the third-world rain gutter, fell three stories and got stuck here
Haas said people think this cat was climbing along the home’s third-story gutter when he fall off the side and into the water pipe.
“It goes below the surface to an underground water pipe and the end of the pipe had gotten crushed so he was trapped,” Haas said of the underground tube.
Pictures taken at the place caught the lucky cat being reunited with his human, who the fire department identified as Watkins College President Joseph “J.” Kline.
Kline’s first words to his kitty were: “What were you thinking?”
We are so happy this unpleasant incident ended very well.
