Yes there is a thing now, and we think is perfect for you. Cat yoga. Yes you read it correctly Cat yoga. This trend became viral though the world.
The Greater Birmingham Humane Society came up with a new interesting idea to offered a cat yoga, and the class filled up in only few hours.
On that amazing day people entered the shelter, leave their mats and set about meeting the kittens in the conference room. Yes, the room is full with ladies. There were 13 women, not counting the instructor. And yes, some lady is wearing cat leggings. Others have cat-ear barrettes and cat earrings and then there’s someone`s boyfriend waiting outside. The ladies paid only $10 each for yoga instructor Carla Jean Whitley to lead them through position such as downward-facing dog. Well, in fact, the instructor calls it “downward-facing cat,” . The reason is obvious 🙂
The cat yoga playlist contains songs like “Stray Cats Strut,” , “The Pink Panther,” and “Everybody” by Ingrid Michaelson, but she sings them in her unique way.
“Everyone, Everyone is a kitten, Everyone, Everyone wants to be cats, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow-meow.”
Singing breaks out from time to time, but that’s all right , because everyone who arrived today for more than just yoga — which is amazing, because cats make really bad yoga students.
They scamper on mats, drink from people’s water bottles and to sit and bathe themselves underneath downward-facing cats. A gorgeous, slinky gray and white kitty named Ramon jumps up on Melissa Galdis while she bridges.
Somebody sneezes. Twice. It’s a person sneezing, not a cat. Why would anyone who’s allergic to cats come to cat yoga?
But, this is for one great purpose. To find a forever homes of these lovely cats. Do you remember the guy on the mobile who was waiting for his girlfriend? Well, in fact he didn’t do any yoga.
He spent the whole time to convince his friend to come here and adopt one kitten.
“The adoption fee is just $10 today” he said, and the guy on the other side of the phone answers “Well, 10 $ is not a problem” Well, no body reject him.
So, he decides to adopt Sweet-ums home, but he will change the name to Catsy Cline.
Adopting cats, Plus with fundraising, was the real reason of Cat Yoga.
