Denise Vlahos is explain the unpleasant incident as “by far the saddest and most insane thing” she’s ever seen.
This lady rescued a feline swimming in the middle of Lake Pleasant in Peoria and trying to stay on above the water. Now she’s looking for some information to find the cat`s owner.
Arizona’s 12 News first said about the story including Vlahos, who told PEOPLE she was on her boyfriend’s pontoon boat with her close friends when a human on a wave runner alarmed her to the cat desperately swimming in the dangerous water.
“The lady told my husband that she is allergic and they can`t keep it. I instantly replied, ‘Give it to me, I will take it!’” she said. “She was curled up in a ball in the foot part of the wave runner soaking wet, shivering and shaking . The lake was cold for us, and for the cat was probably colder.”
Vlahos, who already had two cats, instantly wrapped the feline in a soft towel to keep her warm. After that, they brought her home and “she went directly under the sofa.”
“No one contact me yet, but I hope that this story will go viral on the net and the owners will call me” she told PEOPLE in an email. “It is most certainly a miracle she’s alive.”
Vlahos says she is caring for the cat until her owners contact her.
“She is still under trauma,” she says. “This cat is very friendly and is not hissing and showing anger. Only fear or cowering when I get near her.”
We just love this kind of rescue stories. This cat is lucky to be alive, and now cat enjoy her life peacefully.
