Two little kitties captured inside a pile of burning brush in North Dakota, luckily rescued by a passing photographer who heard their desperate meowing.

“I first thought that the kittens will die,” Carlos Pacheco, who was photographing the controlled fire told Valley News Live.
Pacheco said he had been photographing the area for about 10 minutes at the flame near Grandin, approximately 30 miles north of Fargo, before he heard kittens meowing.
Pacheco said that he noticed one cat trapped underneath the fire and the other resting close , breathing heavily in smoke.
“The temperature was very high even I was in a safe distance from the fire, that is why I was shocked that the kitten was even in it. I had to cover myself with my jacket to even try to catch her,” he said.
Once he took the kittens on safe and put them in a box, he rushed to the Fargo’s Cat’s Cradle Shelter. Both kitties came “in shock,” said staff from the shelter.
“Unfortunately every 4 paws were blistered and burned and her whiskers and fur were burned,” the shelter wrote of one of the kitties in an Oct. 15 Facebook post. “Her brother has no visible signs of injury, but he is in worse condition because smoke breathing.”
Later medical examinations also showed that he had a heart murmur, Adams-Ventzle said. “We don`t know if this is connected with the fire or now.”
As for the female kitten, called Pyro, Adams-Ventzle said she suffered third-degree burns to her little feet.
Luckily, the two kittens started to heal very well.
“They are doing very well!!!” the rescue group wrote on their Facebook with pictures showing Pyro’s tiny paws wrapped up in bandages.
Once the kittens are completely recovered they’ll be up for adoption, and we hope they will find permanent sweet home very fast.
They will put the kittens together for adoption. So, they will not be separated.
