Cat clings to roof of Transit van as its human drives 45 miles to work.
Matt Haine was travelling to work from his home in his car in Warminster, Wiltshire to Weston-super-Mare, Somerset when he noticed some strange cat meowing on the roof of his van.
He said: “I immediately stop my vehicle and it slid down the windscreen when I noticed the tail and then the hind legs and finally saw these huge eyes staring at me.”
He immediately called his wife at home and then they found that in fact the windswept cat was the family’s own feline Flo.
Mr Haine, said he just came at the seaside resort – after a 80 minute drive time – when he noticed the “silhouette of a feline walking on the top of the roof”.
“Unexpectedly it just slid down the roof and I was looking at and my first thought was : Is that Flo?” he said.
“There is a roof rack on the Transit Van and the only thing I can think of is that Flo went between the pipe tube and roof rack – The place where I keep my copper pipes.
Mr Haine said his cat had “learnt her lesson”.
“She’s a small cat but she probably cling on to the van roof rack very well.
For the back adventure, Mr Haine put the feline in the passenger seat. Now he checks his Transit vehicle every day before going to work.
She never climb there again! That is for sure. She is very lucky to survive the journey. This was the scariest and most dangerous 45 miles trip on the roof of the van.
I think she will never climb on the van and take this not very safe journey on the top of my car.
Well, maybe this cat really loves his human dad, and that is the reason to climb on his vehicle.
