A cute kitten had a miraculous escape after getting trapped – in stair lift in her house.
This kitty called Maggie May got herself stuck in the spot between the rail support and stair lift at her house in Helsington, Kendal, South Cumbria.
Her human immediately called a local vet center and the RSPCA to help release the cat.
The vet had tried to release the kitty out – who was trapped by her hind legs and belly – and gave her sedatives to calm her down. This was very helpful and her stress was gone.

RSPCA inspector Chris Towler came at the spot. Plus they called an engineer to help try to take the stair lift apart and save the kitty.
Mr Towler announced: “The cat had followed her human down the stairs when she got trapped below the lift.
“The engineer loosened the post from the rail but was unable to move the chair of the cat because the floor bolts were covered by the seat.
“They thought that they must contact firefighters to help with their cutting equipment. But in that way, they would damage the stair lift and leaving Maggie’s human without any means of going to upper floor.”
Mr Towler used some stick from his vehicle to push against the rail and wall. This made a enough space for the kitty to went out.
He said: “Luckily there was enough of a space to came the cat out.
“The vet brought Maggie May to the veterinary center, and everyone was happy to hear that she had no injuries and return her back to her waiting human.”
This cat was very lucky to survive that incident. She was just following her human and this unpleasant incident happened.
