Missing from his home in Kirkcaldy, Jingle was finally found 20 miles away in north-east Fife, but his locations in between times stat a big mystery.
The Scottish SPCA has reunited the lucky cat with his human after he went we went on a long unknown journey.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity was informed after some kind human noticed the feline in her backyard in Cupar.
Luckily after checking the microchip, they found that this cat called Jingle, was registered to an address about 20 miles from them.
Animal rescue officer Robert Ward announced: “The kind man who alert us found Jingle trying to walk in her backyard.
“When I checked his microchip, I found he was 14 years old and also found his owner.
“I immediately alerted his human to let her know I had found him and she couldn`t believe her eyes”
He travelled back down to Kirkcaldy with Jingle to reunite him with his owner and said “she was so overjoyed to reunite with him again”.
“We are so lucky we could find him Jingle after three years of wandering on the streets,” Mr Ward continued.
“Sometimes the nature of our job means we have to deal with problematic or alarming situations.
“But, happy endings like this one make it all worthy .”
But Mr Ward said that is very crucial to microchip your pet.
“Without that, probably this cat would never found his way home.”
Luckily this end very well. The cat and her human are very happy and enjoy their missing time. Now, they are happy family again. Life is very strange and unpredictable. This cat deserves nice and warm home.
