PEMBROKE, Wales, Oct. 6 (UPI) — A tiny kitty in the United Kingdom was rescued after it was caught in razor wire on a high castle wall.
The kitty was noticed very scared on the razor wire on the 50-foot tall walls of the Pembroke Castle in Wales, according to RSPCA Cymru.
“It was miracle that some kind human spotted the kitty trying to survive. The poor tiny fluff ball was very scared . We aren`t sure how he managed to get there,” RSPCA animal collection officer Ellie West said.
Firefighters used a safety line to scale the wall and save the scared kitten who needed a medical care.
“I brought him immediately the veterinary center where he got pain relief and antibiotics and he is very hurt physically and has several wounds. He lost a bit of his skin,” West said. “But he is recovering very well and is now doing well.”
RSPCA Cymru post a picture of the kitty, and they named him “Henry” after Pembroke Castle resident King Henry VII.
“He began eating very well which is good as he is in fact a bit skinny under all that fur!” West said. “We think he is probably be a stray kitten, but we are still waiting for information just in case he has an owner out there who is frantically looking for him, even thought he didn’t have a collar or microchip.”
