Stray cats may look like domestic cats. But, their destiny is far different from domestic cats. They don`t have someone to take care for them. Domestic cats when are hungry or need something , just began to meowing and their owners are always there.
However, feral cats live by their own. Maybe older feral cats can survive alone, but little feral kittens without mom are helpless. So sad that no one is helping them when they needed help the most. The most risk time for them is in the winter when the weather outside is freezing. When snow fall , it became more difficult to find food.
Only 25 % of feral kitties survive because of cruelty, injury, predators or disease.
Domestic cats are used to humans interaction. Opposite of them, the feral cats are not so good at that. Maybe that is the reason they usually run away when they noticed people. It is estimated that there are over 20 million feral cats in the USA.
This is Nano, He is only 146 grams ( 0.3 pounds) and is tiniest kitty every rescued by Tiny Kittens, rescue organization.
At 5 weeks old, he was much smaller than his 4 brothers. He was a quarter the size of his brothers.
Compared to his siblings he was very weak, lethargic, and suffering from fleas and anemia. He needed a warm bath. But, even after that they weren`t sure about his future…
But, his rescuers decided not to give up from him. They took him on special regime and care.
They cared for him all the time. After some time they finally cleaned him from the parasites.
In just few days he was a lot better. He stared doing well. He started eating normally ,and he had more energy.
But, there is still recovery process for this kitty and his brothers. We are hoping the best for them, because they deserved that.
