This man never imagined he would be a cat person until a little cute kitten chose him and changed his life permanently.
Meet Nala the kitty and her permanent cat daddy!
Marc Nelson spotted a little orphaned kitty in Aklan, Philippines.
“I was leaving my neighbor’s home and his daughter began telling me how she noticed a couple of dogs attack some little kitties further down the beach,” Marc told Love Meow.
She pulled the dogs away as soon as she could but only one kitty survived and unfortunately ran away.
“I asked her to show me where the kitty was and she took me to that place, which was amidst the wild coconut trees next to the beach. It took me some time to find the little motherless kitty because it was getting dark already, but then I heard some desperate meowing.”
“She was so small. A skinny grey kitty,” Marc said.
After many hours of hoping the cat mom would come back, there was no sign of her.
“I wrap her up in a soft towel and took her to my other neighbor who already had a kitty. She gave me some box and some infant formula, telling me that she doubled the concentration mix for her kitty. After that I went home, and from that moment I am officially a cat dad,” Marc told Love Meow.
As a first-time caretaker for a baby kitten, Marc needed advice from people who have a great experience raising rescue kitties.
“I never knew there was so much to learn! From feeding her the proper formula (I got some kitty formula the following day), taking the kitty to a vet, making her poop and pee, cleaning her, taking the fleas out, making her a nice comfort bed, and a play pen and all the while bathing her with as much love as possible,” he said.
“She’s now in a perfect condition 8-week-old.
“When we are together , we play a lot, and she always makes me smile. It’s amazing to wake up to licks on my ears in the morning, and she really loves to fall asleep on my shoulders or chest.
“I never thought I’d be a cat dad, but tiny Nala has well and truly changed me.”
The moment Marc knew he had been chosen by a little kitty.
