A ginger cat was so unhappy that he stayed in the corner of his cage entire day, but a woman took a chance on him and changed his life permanently.
A shelter cat had been wandering around a district for some time. “One day (he) stationed himself on someone’s front balcony and stayed there for about 6 weeks, until they decided they couldn’t care for him anymore,” Tegan told Love Meow.
They took the cat to the shelter. “He was there few weeks before I came there. In fact a was there with my local roller derby team, to take some pictures of the adoptable animals and do a sort of cross-advertisement with them. But within a several minutes I looked at him, so sad in his small cage, and I knew.”
She wanted to see the cat. “When they let me take him in the visitation room, he sneezed a several times. So I realized he was a little sick and I had to be the one to take him home and get him better.”
“I’m so happy I did.” She named him GusGus.
It was so obviously to Tegan why he looked so sad at the shelter.
“He had one of those kitten colds that they get at the shelter, and plus a tapeworm… He was very confused and sick for a while, from the stress of going to the shelter and then to a new forever home. We got all of that fixed up for him. He has been following me around my home ever since,” Tegan told Love Meow.
GusGus turned around within a several days. The unhappiness on his face went away for good.
In the days that followed, GusGus became very better and found his confidence and energy. “He follows me everywhere in the apartment, and loves laying on his favorite blanket (the red one in the photo) next to me on the sofa.”
He’s become a happy cute cat, always begging for love and attention. “He is such a cute tiny fluff ball.”

“This cute cat captured my heart almost exactly two years ago, and I’ve loved him ever since.”
Tegan helped GusGus find satisfaction, now he returns the favor by giving her endless cuddles and love. “He has brought me so much happiness”
