In Casula, a district in Sydney, Australia two kitties began showing up at a woman’s garden. The woman just couldn’t turn her back on them, so she began feeding them. But, she realized that there was something strange about their eyes – they were still closed and the twins were already about 3 weeks old.
Unfortunately, they were blind. The woman wasn`t able to properly care for them, because of her finances. Fortunately, Inner City Strays rescue group agreed to take them in.
“The moment we saw the pictures, we immediately said yes, we just knew we had to take the twins right in that moment,” Diana Dammery, the cofounder of Inner City Strays and one of the group’s foster care, told Bored Panda. “We didn’t care how much they were going to cost us, we just couldn’t left them.” The kitties, named Isaac and Stevie, had to go through several medical procedures to avoid infection.
Stevie is totally blind but Isaac can see with one eye. “Stevie have confidence on Isaac incredibly,” Dammery says. “If he gets disoriented or is unsure, he cries and Isaac immediately comes running. He never cries if Isaac is close. They’re the best buddies. They are healthy and fit, happy kitties doing everything kitties do, chasing toys, playing, playing with each other and getting up to mischief!” Once the kittens fully recover, they will be put up for adoption.
