A kind woman stopped in traffic to save a little kitty found on the roadside and brought her back to life.
Meet Moo-Moo the kitty!
Samantha was driving home in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia when she noticed the kitty whose eyes were barely open.
“Fortunately for her, she was found just in time… she was alone in the busy traffic and about to be run over,” Jason Jemmott told Love Meow.
“Her rescuer, Samantha, was driving home and noticed the little kitten on the roadside. She thought it was a dead kitten but when she looked better in her rear view mirror she noticed that the kitty moved her head. She stopped her car and pulled off the road.”
Cars were honking as Samantha ran to where the kitty was and scooped her up.
The kitty was crying and meowing desperately and in need of medical attention. “She was no bigger than Samantha’s palm. But she was alive.”
“Samantha brought her to the vet and they said that the injuries were consistent with being thrown from a driving car,” Jason said.
The kitty would need surgery to fix her jaw once she was old enough. They didn’t know if she would stay alive in the next week.
Samantha brought her home and was determined to help her eat and get stronger.
“The next two weeks were crucial. Moo-Moo was lying on a warm heating pad and would eat a bit because it was very painful for her. Samantha had to feed the kitty every 2 hours with a syringe,” Jason told Love Meow.
Moo-Moo began eating a little more every day and grew stronger. Her lip began to heal well.
“At 5 weeks old we took her again to the vet. The staff surprised us and she was given the all clear and was told surgery most likely wasn’t needed at all.”
She was a real fighter!
Moo-Moo met Penny the English Bulldog one day and instantly took to her like she was her mom.
She loves Penny and follows her around the home.
Penny has fallen in love with the tiny kitten friend and showers her with cuddles and love.
They are inseparable.
“Moo-Moo learned the hard way that people can be so brutal and the world unforgiving, but she also learned that there are loving, generous people out there who would do everything for her,” Jason told Love Meow.
She’s come a long way!
Now, Moo-Moo is a happy 10 week old kitty who is quite a character.
“All life is valued and worth saving. Even the tiniest of creatures.”
