A Russian Farmer Found This Strange Kitten In His Barn… And It Turned Out To Be So Much More.
When a Russian farmer was making the rounds on his farm, he came across four small kitties that were unlike anything he had seen before.
Unable to identify the animals and what kind of help they might need, he called the Daursky Nature Reserve. Little did he know that he had just started an adventure that would change his life.
When a Russian farmer found four strange tiny kitties in his farm, their eyes hadn’t even opened yet. They required a lot of help if they were going to survive.
He immediately called the Daursky Nature Reserve. The reserve immediately identified the creatures as Pallas’s cats, also known as manuls, a rare species of wild cat that is native to Central Asia.
Manuls are the similar size as domestic cats, but there are some big differences. Their fur is thicker, their legs are shorter, their build is stockier so that they can survive in rough climate. Their ears are flatter and faces are wider.
They decided to see if two domestic cats at the facility would nurse the babies. Fortunately, the cats took them in and nursed them as their own, saving their lives. The kitties started to grow, and the reserve’s staff began to fall in love!
The cats blossomed at the reserve, and their caretakers knew what the next step would be. As sad as it was to say goodbye, they would be sending these little kittens into the wild, back where they belong.
