A couple met a shelter cat who did nothing but hiss. Seemed the cat didn’t want to be touched. But, one man took a chance on the small kitty. After a several loving caresses, everything changed.
David shared the story with the people at Love Meow: “We noticed him on the Humane society website. He looked really sweet so we wanted to see him.
When we arrived there, the 3-4 other people/couples were a bit nervous of him because he growled and hisses. Sincerely, the lady and I were both like. Oh boy, a very social tiny guy.
I just decided to go for broke and took the little kitten (physically see if he’d let me do that). He began purring after a couple of pets so we brought him into an isolation room. He purred and got belly rubs from myself and my girlfriend.
He was obviously skittish and didn’t want to play but absolutely enjoyed the belly rubs. My girlfriend said, I really like him, and she’d be willing to try him out and give him a sweet home, about that time was when we got the photo-op. He climbed up and left a boat load of his gray furs in my beard.”
“I think I was adopted,” David said.
“We brought him home following day and yeah… now he watched the Wild hockey games on my lap, and has been a really amazing feline, his orneriness is obvious every single day with his hissing, but he is entirely bark and no bite.
10/10 would adopt Albus again.”
Sometimes all it takes is a few loving caresses.
