A stray kitty was found in a parking lot with nothing to eat but bugs. A young lady took him home and nursed him back to health.
“Few days ago, I found and rescued a half dead, emaciated , starving kitty curled up all alone in a parking lot with nothing to eat but bugs,” reddit user angrybroad said.
She took him home.
“I really think he only ate bugs due to hunger, desperation, and the poor hunting skills of a 5-6 week old kitty. He had been eating only June bugs. I only know because I got him through the ‘expulsion’ process, and seemingly kittens don’t digest beetle shells.”
With warm place to sleep, proper food, love, the kitty quickly came around.
“He turned out to be the cutest, most lovable bug-eating kitty I’ve ever seen, and is also slowly becoming the most spoiled.”
Kitten can’t get enough of his new food.
“I’ve been giving him cat food with stuff like tilapia, whole little shrimp, whitefish and he loves it, and is already becoming a bit of a diva in deciding whether or not a new food is up to his standards.
“He probably feels beetles are beneath him now.” (reddit)
He came out of his shell and discovered his new-found energy.
“He has a lot of toys that he commonly attacks, he really likes reaching under things like doors and frantically swatting at nothing, discovering ‘caves’ to hide in, testing just how rough he can be with our feet and hands, etc.”
“He’s just now really getting into really normal kitty behavior, since he was too weak and possibly traumatized at first to focus on anything but sleeping and eating.
“But now that he’s feeling so much better, he is an amazing little thing.”
The kitten is very happy and playful now. “He still sleeps a lot but when he’s up he’s showing us just how much better he feels.”
The little kitten is thriving. He’s getting fluffier, stronger and bigger every day!
Now the kitty no longer needs to worry about food or having a safe place to sleep. He’s loving his new forever home and has become the pest controller, guarding his forever humans from bugs.
