Jessica and her colleague heard cute meowing when it was raining outside their office. They decided to go out and investigate. What they found was a little kitty, alone in rain water, crying for some love.
Meet Noq the kitty!
“She was found with one other kitty by the fence at work. It was raining, so my colleague took one and went to get a towel to come get the other. By the time she came back , the other one was gone,” Jessica told Love Meow.
They noticed a larger cat behind the office a several days ago and believe that may be the momma. “We have been keeping an eye out for them.”
Once they are able to trap the mama and the other kitty, Jessica’s “co-worker is willing to take in the other kitty and get mom into the local Neuter/Spay /Return feral cat program.”
It was raining that day, and the little kitty was cold and wet when they found her. They dried her up with a towel, gave her water, food and treats.
The small cute kitty found a warm place to sleep and snuggle in.
Jessica took the little buddy home that night and gave her a nice bath.
“We gave her a proper bath and picked out most of her fleas. She is getting another bath today, and possibly again one more time just to make sure all fleas are removed. We have two other cats and fleas can get out of control very easily,” Jessica said.
“She ate a small soft canned food and lapped a small milk replacer. She spent the entire night on the couch with us, trying to attack her own whiskers and feet. She purrs a lot and loves being petted on her ears.
“So far her favorite area is either in my hood or on my neck with my hood up. She likes to burrow. She’s truly amazing.”
Noq loves cuddling on her human’s shoulder in the hoodie while purring aloud.
“We made a cat bed out of a blanket and she slept right next to my pillow all night.
“When I woke up my older cat was also sleeping at the foot of the bed, so I’m hoping they will warm up quickly,” Jessica told Love Meow.
“She is still very little so we have a lot of work to do as far as weaning her and getting her to use the litter box, but she’s so playful and lovely, we are happy she is with us.
“My daughter has been asking for a new kitty, so it seemed meant to be.”
They found the little buddy in the rain, kept her warm in a hoodie, and now she is a new family member.
All it takes is a little love and food, and they will love you forever! Share this story with your friends!
