Dee Walton, the owner of Australia’s Sawyers Gully Animal Rescue received a worrisome call from a woman who said she had been feeding a stray cat and her kittens for some time in her backyard, but unfortunately , her neighbor had killed the mom cat. While other rescue group came to see the situation and to save the one-week-old kittens, the mother cat’s body lay dead, or so it was seemingly believed.
In a miraculous story of survival, this mom cat, which was later called Princess, was not dead in fact. Princess, whose back legs were paralyzed from the evil neighbor throwing her against a trailer, dragged herself to the place she had left her kittens using only her front paws. Nothing was going to stop Princess from reuniting with her little kitties.
Luckily, Princess was took up by the RSPCA and reunited with her kittens. She also had a microchip for tracking and her owners were tracked down, but they decided to give her up and in turn, she and her kittens were brought to the pound. After finding about Princess and her condition and situation, Walton decided she’d take Princess and her babies’ to their new and safe home. The mom cat and her little kitties now all live at the rescue, where Walton takes proper care of them. Sadly, Princess is paralyzed for life, but according to a Facebook post, plans are in order to help raise money to get her a cat wheelchair.
A police investigation for this case of Princess resulted in the arrest of the man who attacked her.
